Aditi Lath on How Diversity Leads to Innovation in Technology

“The most exciting part about my role is the opportunity I get to solve puzzles,” says Aditi Lath, Cloud Native Security Architect at BYJU’S. In the latest episode of People Who Make BYJU’S, she talks about the relevance of cloud technology and the need for diversity in the tech field. 

Aditi joined the team as the DevOps lead just last year. Her job now entails ensuring a seamless availability of services on the BYJU’S platform. She explains, “Let’s say, there is a cyber attack. My job is to find out how it happened, how I can fix it and more importantly, how to prevent it from happening again. The whole mystery around it makes my job very exciting.”

The BYJUite is part of ‘One Million Women in STEM’. As part of the initiative, she interacts with young girls who are curious to know more about the tech world. “One Million Women in STEM is a network of women in technology. We act as role models for the next generation of girls who are also interested in the field. And we achieve this by conducting workshops, seminars, TEDx talks and the like.”

And for those who are looking at getting into the field of cloud technology, Aditi shares one piece of advice: seek out as much information as you can. She points out, “Talk to as many people as you can. Attend seminars and workshops and most importantly, don’t be afraid of change. That’s the only way you will be able to succeed.”
